The exhibition A Side (Tables) Project showcased Thalis Nicolaou’s debut product series at Multi-Disciplinary Design Lab (M.D.D.L) in Nicosia, Cyprus.  Side (Tables) began as a side project: a project that had no higher goal other than to engage the designer’s body and mind in a daily exercise of making. The challenge? Create a table a day, from scratch.

 

The series consists of three distinct table designs, each with its own variations of colour and material. The works were accompanied by a limited-edition publication ‘The Making of A Side Tables Project’ and an installation bringing the viewer closer to the world of making (Sound compilation of making sounds and the actual work bench).
